Fractional Ownership Resort Offers Interval Buy-Back Plan

Huntsville, ON – When consumer confidence levels go down, buyer incentive programs go up. In an economy where anticipated job losses continue to make headlines, worried consumers are seeking incentives to reduce the risk of making major purchases. Blue Water Acres – Ontario's fastest ever selling fractional resort – is responding to market conditions by offering a buy-back plan on the purchase of a fractional ownership interval.

"Based on our recent and current inquiry levels, we remain very confident in the outlook for the Canadian economy, and we feel most Canadians will fare well during this economic downturn", observes Bill Van Gelder, the project's developer. "Having said that, we know that the barrage of bad news has shaken the confidence level of many consumers. That's why we decided to launch an interval buy-back plan, so that our owners have a little more peace of mind when they buy a fractional interval from us".

The plan gives anyone who buys a fractional interval at Blue Water Acres a one-year buy back guarantee by the developer if the buyer loses their job during that period. The full price of the interval is refunded less an administrative fee and a reasonable charge for weeks actually used by the purchaser. Van Gelder is also quick to point out that fractional ownership at Blue Water Acres offers prospective buyers several other features to reinforce their sense of security when they make a purchase. "We have already constructed 19 of our planned 44 cottages, so buyers aren't exposed to the risks that are sometimes associated with a presales based project. We financed this project on our own and our balance sheets are in good shape. We have many of the project amenities already in place, and over 100 satisfied owners are sharing testimonials about the experiences they have already had.

While few owners have requested financing programs to assist with making a purchase, Blue Water Acres also offers a competitive in-house financing program starting as low as 0%.

The Blue Water Acres fractional ownership program was launched in spring 2007. Prior to the launch, the resort was owned and operated by the Van Gelder family for almost 30 years. The family continues to manage the property and Van Gelder bought a fractional interval himself.

The project features two and three bedroom detached cottages on a 50 acre, secluded waterfront parcel of land on the shores of Lake of Bays. The resort is about a 20 minute drive away from Algonquin Park and is the closest fractional ownership resort to where the G8 Summit will be hosted in 2010.
